Who is Woods girl?

In 2015 on the cusp of marriage I realized that once my sister married in the following year, the Woods name, my father’s legacy would continue no longer. Unbeknownst to many my parents would not conceive without challenge, enduring 3 miscarriages before I was born and 1 stillbirth before my sister was born.  Knowing my sister would be their last; she is our father’s namesake.

Committed to continuing his legacy, I remembered that while my mother thought he always wanted a son, what he prayed for was a little girl with a long ponytail.  My sister is his namesake, I am his dream, we are his legacy and this is Woods Girl.
