This design portrays the right and responsibility to vote. It honors civil rights leaders of the past who fought for voting equality; the reason many of us are even able to vote today. It empathizes with our present day injustices and unresolved concerns such as the increasing loss of minority lives, separation of families due to deportation and the Dakota pipeline. It also envisions a future without color lines that encompasses justice reform, employment with training, educational resources and a better tomorrow for our children.
